About Us
The Centre for Islamic Management Studies was established in
1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Muslim Converts' Association of
Singapore with the aim to develop and provide Islamic based training on various
aspects for professional and personal development. We were the service provider
in Singapore to offer the Diploma in Islamic Studies Program and a Diploma in
Shari'ah Law & Practice through our long standing partnership with the
International Islamic University of Malaysia.
Our flagship programmes, the Certificate and Diploma in
Islamic Banking & Finance (CIBF & DIBF) have been widely accepted by
both banking and finance professionals aiming to enhance their knowledge in
Islamic Banking & Finance in Singapore. The company aims to provide
additional professional qualifications in conjunction with our international
partners, especially in Islamic Banking & Finance. Several new professional
programmes are being planned to be launched by the end of the year.
Our examination board consists of internationally known
scholars and professionals in various fields namely Islamic Banking, Shari’ah
Law and the Human & Social Sciences. Our education partners are carefully
chosen to ensure only the highest quality of education provided by fully
qualified educators serve our clients.

With effect from January 1st, 2012, CIMS is operating as a training arm of The Muslim Converts' Association of Singapore under the provision of our Education Division.
The primary objectives of CIMS are:
- To establish, manage, develop and provide education and training through various courses in respect of personal and professional development from an Islamic perspective tailored to meet the needs of individuals, professionals, as well as institutions and organisations.

To present, organise, manage and conduct conferences, seminars, forums, workshops related to various aspects of Islamic studies with special focus on management skills in Singapore or overseas either on its own or in collaboration with others.

Courses
The courses offered by CIMS are meant for adult learners and professionals.
Centre for Islamic Management Studies currently offers three programme for our customer; they are;
1. Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance (CIBF)
2. Diploma in Islamic Studies Programme (DISP)
3. Diploma in Syariah Law and Practice (DSLP)
The courses that are planned relate to:
- Management Studies
- Islamic Finance and Banking - Higher Level
- Accounting Standard for Mosques
- E-commerce, Information Technology
- Personal Finance, Investments
- Investments in Stocks and Shares
- Business Opportunities and Pitfalls Overseas
- Inter-communication Skills
- Introduction to Genetic Engineering for Islamic Teachers
- Shari'ah for Legal Practitioners
Efforts will be made to integrate an Islamic perspective into these courses. The duration of the courses may range from a day to a few days or weeks. Eventually, it is the intention of the Centre to twin with Institutions of Higher Learning overseas to offer certificate, diploma and degree courses. CIMS Pte Ltd will also be embarking on distant learning programmes with other organisations.
