2. Diploma in Islamic Studies Programme (DISP )

Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance (CIBF)

Target commencement date: 20th November 2011
Duration: within 6 months
Training Days: alternate Sundays 
9.30am to 5.30 pm
Closing date for application:       
 10th November 2011
Course fee:  SGD 3500 nett (LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE)

Program Objective

  1.  To provide opportunity for graduates or individuals with working experience, with purpose of educating and training for a career in Islamic Banking and Finance.
  2. To train executives desiring specializing in Islamic banking and Finance, to assist expansion in the banking and finance industry.
  3. To provide opportunity for students in related disciplines to pursue a certificate in Islamic Banking & Finance in order to prepare them to enter into the job market in Islamic banking and Finance.

Diploma in Islamic Studies Programme (DISP)

Target commencement date: 29th October 2011 
Duration: within 12 months
Training Days: 
alternate Saturday (  7.45pm to 10.30pm ) & Sunday (  9.30am to 1.30pm )
Closing Date:         20th October 2011 or when class is full
Course fee:  SGD 2950 (inclusive of GST and Registration Fee)


Entry Requirement: 
i:  
 GCE O' level certificate or its equivalent (subjected to IIUM's approval)



Program Objective 
 

  1. To provide adequate knowledge in the religion, ethic, law, history, and culture of Islam.
  2. To show the relevance of Islamic concepts and principles to the daily lives of contemporary Muslims.
  3. To create awareness about the problems facing the world today and to contend for their solution according to Islam

Diploma in Shari'ah Law & Practise (DSLP)

Target commencement date:  No intake for now
Duration: within 12 months (2 semesters)
Training Days: alternate Saturdays (7.45pm to 10.30pm) & Sunday (9.30am to 1.30pm)
Closing date of application:  TBC
 or when class is full
Course fee:  SGD 4500 (inclusive of GST and Registration Fee)


Entry Requirement:

 i:  A bachelor's degree in Law / Shari'ah law or in any other degree; OR
ii:  Be an advocate or a solicitor in Malaysia, Singapore or
iii: hold other qualifications and experience which the university may approve
 



Program Objective:

  1. It is to train, develop & expose the candidates in the administration of Shari'ah Law procedures both in  Singapore and other countries as well as to prepare student to meet challenges.
  2. To promote mutual cooperation for the advancement of knowledge and intellectual development in the area
